If you’ve never checked out Mistborn, there’s also a free ebook sampler that has the prologue and first 5 chapters (approximately 100 pages of the paperback), as well as about 200 pages of The Way of Kings. You can also pick up a free paperback version of this sampler at Barnes & Noble—call your local store to see if they have one.

Though of course, if it’s The Way of Kings that you want to preview, and you’re in the US, the whole ebook is still free (and DRM-free, so you can read it on any device) on iTunes/iBookstore and Kindle. I don’t know how long that will last.
