BRANDON: Hey! Brandon here in our brand new recording studio to bring you a Weekly Update.
So percentage bars first. I have finished my revision on Moment Zero, which is the novella for next year. I will need to do one more. Probably going to do that the last few weeks of December. But for now, I am moving on to White Sand. And so we are doing White Sand novelization prewriting, and I am at, Bing! 15% on that. I'm kind of going through the book, reading some of the notes that my team has made, kind of making decisions, basically building a revision outline for what I want to do with that. So we'll see how long that takes me, but that is my project right now.
Janci has gotten to, Bing! 94% on Blightfall. So looking forward to her revision. I think this might be her last one that she's doing on Blightfall where it'll be ready save for, like, copy edits and line edits and things. So we should have a release date for that coming up in the near future.
So, Light Day, our replacement for Black Friday, the more employee-friendly version of Black Friday, that is going to last an entire month, Light Day is October 20th, and it will be going on with all of our sales lasting for a month. We're going to have all kinds of cool things for you, some new merch, and some returning things, including The Bands of Mourning leatherbound, which is--we are really excited that you can get. We have lots of cool art in it. In fact, Isaac is going to appear right now by magic, and he is going to take my place and tell you about some of the art from Bands of Mourning. So Bing!
ISAAC: Hello! Isaac here. How you doing? I'm going to talk about one piece from The Bands of Mourning. So The Bands of Mourning is Brandon's favorite of the Wax and Wayne books. It's an adventure story a little bit in that Indiana Jones vein. Really a lot of fun. With our leatherbound books, each time we make a new one we kind of go back to the drawing board on some things. We ask questions like, "How can we make this better?" So each time we release a new leatherbound book, we have gone through the decision process and said, "OK, what can we do to make this just a little bit better?" Which is one of the reasons why we have the leather that we do on these particular ones. This has a very nice feel to it that's a little bit different. We like each of the series to have their own visual identity.
So we love all of the art in here. There's a piece that I've been dying to reveal to you because for years we've wanted to work with this artist. And that artist is Cynthia Sheppard. She was an art director at Magic: The Gathering for quite a while. Before that, she had also done a lot of Magic: The Gathering cards. She's fantastic. The piece that we asked her to do is this one. I don't know how many spoilers we can have, but this is in Bands of Mourning and it's Wax and it's Steris flying over New Seran. So I just love this piece. It's beautiful. The colors are wonderful. There's a little bit of that sunset light going on. Anyway, just a beautiful piece. We've been wanting to work with her for years. And I wanted to reveal this before Lightday. So there it is. It's really awesome. Thank you, Cynthia. And that's not to detract from the other artists who worked on this. All of it's awesome. We're very excited for you to get to see everything.
So The Bands of Mourning leatherbound, it's a wonderful addition to your leatherbound collection, and it's available in a week. And now back to your regularly scheduled Brandon. Bing!
BRANDON: I will be back next week with more for you in another Weekly Update.
